my little cirque du soleil princess...

...has herself in a right tangle!  Went for a scan today to check all was ok and see whether she turned after acupuncture yesterday, and got to see her, and even got to see her practising her breathing...  It's the best feeling in the world seeing her on that wee tv!  She's bottom down, head up and arms, legs, hands and feet all interlinked together.  Couldn't tell one from another to start with.  But I counted her fingers and toes, and there's ten of each and no extra one, so she's def a wee girl!

Check out her chubby cheeks :)

She's already 6 pound 1, at 35 weeks, and they think will be about 8 pound.  Although the scanner-lady said she's also tracking at about 37 weeks, so i may not have as much time up my sleeve as first thought.

Then again, she's female, and an Evans.  So she may well change her mind...!

Goodbye ankles.  It was a sweet sweet time we spent together, but i understand you need to move on...

may i have a drum roll please?

This is why i can't do up (or take off) my boots, why i get stuck in the bath, why i have realised that normal car parks are just too damn narrow, why i have acquired the fine art of pillow placement, and why none of my bloody clothes reach the bottom of my bump!

But.

Also the reason she has so much room to somersault, which she's doing a lot of... :)  And a really good excuse to eat.  Her new favourite food is cashew nuts.

I'm so in love!

Keep in mind these puppies have surpassed an F and it will give you an idea of the size of the belly...!  Yes.  F.

7 weeks and counting...

More lovely info from ante natal.  Lochia being the latest word I would be happy to never hear again.  And who knew there was an state called Post Natal Psychosis?  Crikey.

But, only 7 weeks away now :)  Thats less than 50 sleeps.  Well, sleep-wake-pee-sleep-wake-pee-sleeps...  And just got to listen to her little heart beat again.  Thats always a good day.  And like a good girl scout, mini-mess is already in position :)

Golly.  it's all a bit real isnt it?

PS:

Who knew that the floor was so far away?

38 paper clips. 31 weeks. 33 days of work. Three's company!

so ante natal.  thats fun.  who knew there were so many lovely words associated with being pregnant.  'plug' 'show' 'tear'.  and then there's the superlatively-over-the-top-birthing-is-the-most-amazing-experience-in-the-world-let-me-know-if-you-want-me-to-come-video-yours ante natal lady.  It's all Kimmie and I can do to keep a straight face for most of the class.  When she started simulating the moo'ing sounds many women make, it just about caused me to fall off my chair in mirth. Watching a birthing video from the 1980's was definitely the highlight of my week.  i wonder if they deliberately made it from those times with 'that hair' to distract you from the subject matter...?

my belly button is slowly but surely disappearing. that belly ring piercing is starting to look just lovely now i can actually see it.  Talking of seeing.  Can't see much more than my belly at the moment.  i can still just see my toes however.  Happy days!  In honour of this I think i might just get me a pedicure this weekend.  I may as well make them look pretty for the length of time left that i can see them.

Bought a swiss ball.  Supposed to be good to sit on to strengthen my back muscles which are under attack from the porridge-filled balloon on my front.  Hmmm.  I seem to recall another piece of advice being that your sense of balance leaves you when pregnant.  Surely combining these two gems isnt the best idea for someone so clutzy?

Bubs gave the midwife a swift kick when she was listening to her heartbeat today.  Thatta girl!  Manners schmanners.
